The average Packing House worker only last two-and-a-half years on the job that was back in the 80s I don't know I've seen people throwing in the back of a truck and take it to a clinic with a broken leg and not a hospital or call an ambulance. Housing company doctor has almost killed people in that took them to a clinic we had a company doctor that wasn't a doctor's he was a PA without a medical license it was suspended in two states the moral turpitude the UFCW new this doctor didn't have a medical license the union knew it and didn't tell the employees its members

Well, those conditions are kinda normal nowadays in every line production. The problem is not just in management but in the workers themselves who allowed those crazy norms in the first place. I worked at a production line and with my team leader I set the standard norm time to realistic times, everything was fine for a while. Over time I was switched to work somewhere else. Then later they switched me back to my old position AND THE TACT TIMES WERE COMPLETELY F****! For whatever stupid reason, those idiotic workers, new ones and old ones ruined those tact line times and were jumping around like crazies, sweating, working through break times, no bathroom, going to work and starting work long before actual shift etc. My guess, new workers didn't want to lose the job and so old workers also didn't want to lose the job either. And so they created this spiral of mess... and I was eventually fired for being too annoying about it lol. At least I'm free from the madness and have some savings.

Stop eating animals and everybody wins, for a multitude of reasons ( apart from big food companies who care about human life as much as they care about animal life). Eating animals encourages the likelihood of zoonotic diseases like......Covid.

The American political system is ill equipped to deal with corporations in any reasonable amount of time. All the politicians are bought off or gone too soon. On the other hand, ultralight aircraft are cheap and easy to stow away from nosy neighbors, and google can help you find materials mentioned in the Constitution, as well as corporate board members.

Gurrcities 8 ore fa
No idea about the US, but here in Germany the vast majority of workers in meat plants are bussed in from poorer European countries and are often not even paid the minimum wage. The conditions don't just suck in the plants themselves but also due to the fact that they're housed by the companies (and often indirectly with sub companies to avoid legal troubles) where they're crowded. These dorms suck a lot as well, and often wages are withheld or not even paid.
AJHyoton 8 ore fa
At least Roseanne had a good reason for saying her stupid, thoughtless shit. Ambien is a helluva drug!

We live in a county where the shareholder class is always more important than the workers. Whenever conservative slobs cry socialism they don't think about workers at these meatpacking plants, Uber Eats drivers making $1 for an hour of work or countless fast food employees risking their health during a pandemic for 7 dollars an hour. It's time we end the system of rewarding the paper wealthy, big bankers and vile executive scum in vital segments like food, healthcare and education. There is a difference between collectivism and the workers benefiting more from their hard work. Important industries like food production and distribution should be by the people, for the people. This is not a resource that should be monetized and leveraged for the financial gain of the few.
